ASUS ROG Major Updates Released for Armoury Crate SE and Microcontroller Unit on ROG Ally

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has rolled out new updates for both its Armoury Crate SE on the ROG Ally and the microcontroller unit, enhancing user experience and adding several new features. Key highlights include the “Hold to Repeat” function for controller buttons, expanded VRAM adjustment options, and various bug fixes.

The Armoury Crate SE v1.3.6, released on August 7, integrates a variety of additions. There’s now an icon for Xbox Cloud Gaming in the Game Platform section. Additionally, the Command Center now displays Battery level, Wi-Fi status, and the Current System Time. Significant enhancements include a confirmation window for the “End Task” function in Command Center and fixes for on-screen keyboard and Game Library glitches.

Also, MCU 311 was introduced via MyASUS. This update focuses on improving the controller experience, specifically adding “Hold to Repeat” support for multiple buttons across various modes. Additionally, the RB key now serves to navigate tabs in the BIOS. Important user experience improvements also address the joystick’s dead zone issue in Desktop mode.

While these updates promise a better user experience, ROG acknowledges other ongoing dead zone concerns and assures users that investigations are underway.
