Looking at their displays, the J7 Pro has a higher screen resolution which provides better viewing experience to users compared to the Zenfone 4 Selfie. On top of that, it is equipped with a Super AMOLED display which has better sharpness than IPS ones, however, such displays pose a threat of having burn-ins or degradation of pixel quality over time. The latter has an IPS display which has more natural color reproduction but it draws more power compared to the other display type we mentioned.

As for the CPU and GPU, the Zenfone 4 Selfie has a Snapdragon 430 chipset which is actually aimed more at lower-leveled smartphones. If you’d ask us, the company could have equipped a better processor on the device but nonetheless, it is good for day-to-day tasks and it has good gaming potential with its Adreno 505 GPU. Compared to the J7 Pro’s Exynos 7870, Asus’ device fell short with its performance base on their Antutu scores alone. As for their gaming potential, we already had a comparison for the same GPU’s from our previous articles in which we said that the Mali T830 is slightly better than the Adreno 505.

For the camera department, we have made reviews for both smartphones including sample shots for each. The Zenfone 4 Selfie packs a punch when it comes to camera resolutions. In addition to that, the smartphone has a dual camera setup which is its main feature in the first place. You can check out its sample photos here. For the J7 Pro, even though both rear and front cameras have only single lenses, it still produced good quality photos. Watch our comparison video of the device and the OPPO F3 here.

For their battery performance, the Zenfone 4 Selfie carries a 3,000mAh battery while the J7 Pro has a 3,600mAh one. We’ve tested both smartphones’ battery lives and results showed that the latter has more endurance compared to the former. You will definitely notice which smartphone has the upper hand in this aspect.

In overall performance, the J7 Pro has the upper hand with its advantage in display, CPU, GPU, and battery life. With regards to camera quality, we will let you decide which one has better performing cameras.
