Table of Contents
Looking at their displays, the Zenfone 4 Selfie Lite has a slight advantage with its 5.5-inch screen size as compared to the A71’s 5.2-inch. Both have the same screen resolution and display type which makes them even but if we check out which one has a better viewing experience, we can safely say that its the former due to its wider screen.
CPU AND GPU
Moving to their CPUs and GPUs, the Zenfone 4 Selfie Lite carries a Snapdragon 425 processor and an Adreno 308 GPU. To be honest, this is a bit underwhelming, especially for its price range. The OPPO A71, on the other hand, is equipped with a MediaTek MT6750 processor with a Mali-T860 GPU. Looking at their benchmark scores, we can clearly see which one is better performing between the two. As for Gaming performance, it is apparent that the latter is the better performing smartphone. In addition to that, the A71 also has more RAM which is always good since it helps in multitasking of applications and operating apps that require a large memory.
Now, let’s go to the camera department. The Zenfone 4 Selfie Lite is a little brother to the Zenfone 4 Selfie which is known for its front camera’s capabilities. It also has a higher front camera resolution compared to the A71. As far as our sample shots go, it didn’t disappoint. (Check out our sample shots from the Zenfone 4 Selfie Lite). For the A71, you can check out our sample shots from the smartphone here.
In terms of battery life, both smartphones carry 3,000mAh. When we put them in our video loop test, we reached a very close fight between the two. The Zenfone 4 Selfie Lite lasted for 13Hours and 27Minutes while the A71 lasted for 12 Hours and 51Minutes. Both have good battery life so users who will want to prioritize battery life can choose either of these devices.
For overall performance, it is apparent that the OPPO A71 has the upper hand in this due to its better performing CPU and GPU. For viewing experience, however, the Zenfone 4 Selfie Lite holds the trophy because of its larger screen size. Do note that the A71 does not have a fingerprint scanner so users who are accustomed to the feature will be a bit disappointed.
