This match may be odd because of the noticeable price difference between these two smartphones.
The Samsung Galaxy A7(2017) was released last January 2017. It has a 5.7“ AMOLED display which gives a very good color saturation and accuracy, 3GB RAM, a nice 16-megapixel f/1.9 rear and front camera, and 3600mAh of the battery to power up the phone.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 was released last June 2017. It has a big display size of 6.44“ IPS LCD which gives a more natural color, 4GB RAM, a camera of 12MP Sony IMX386 PDAF rear camera w/ flash, a 5MP wide-angle front camera, and a big battery with 5300mAH.

The Galaxy A7(2017) may be water-resistant and has a better camera quality but if we take a look at their price difference, you can see who has the upper-hand in this match.
If you are having any problems with deciding which display is better, the IPS LCD displays give off a more natural color while Super AMOLED displays give brighter colors and deeper blacks but have a risk of burn-in which results in degrading of pixel quality over time. The Mi Max 2 may be a little too big for your hands but it definitely justifies the price for its specs.
