Let’s talk about the latest itel S23+. For just under PHP 10K, it certainly delivers great features, sporting a curved AMOLED display, a 50-megapixel main camera, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. These features are quite rare to see at this price point.
I must say, itel S23+ is a rare gem that offers shockingly good value for its price. In fact, it just might be the best option available in its segment.
However, I still have my reservations. I personally wouldn’t choose it as a daily driver.
The device is powered by an entry-level chipset, the UNISOC T616, so expect occasional hiccups. While the 50-megapixel camera is appealing, the photos taken with this device, with that entry-level chipset, would be decent at best.
Software and its long-term support are also questionable.
But let’s not tarnish its own merits. In addition to the mentioned features, it comes with generous RAM and storage: 16GB extended RAM and 256GB storage out of the box. It also boasts a good design and its own GPT-powered AI assistant, Aivana. All these including its crisp Full HD+ AMOLED display are enough reasons to get this smartphone.
It even had an introductory price of just about PHP 5K, making it worth considering, especially for those on a tight budget.
