As you can see, the Redmi Note 4X beats the Zenfone 4 Max in all benchmarks except for the battery life score.
The Redmi Note 4X has a better performing CPU and GPU which automatically receives a win for the overall performance department. Its Snapdragon 625 chipset and Adreno 506 GPU provides good day-to-day task and gaming experience for the users. On top of it, it has a higher screen resolution which gives users better viewing experience when using their smartphones.
The ZenFone 4 Max, on the other hand, focuses on its battery life performance. Even though it lacks the processing and gaming capabilities compared to the Redmi Note 4X, it still provides a good user experience and can handle day-to-day tasks well. Its power efficiency also comes from its lower screen resolution which consumes less power.
For the camera quality, the Zenfone 4 Max makes up with its dual camera for having a wide angle lens in which the Redmi Note4X does not have. Aside from its rear camera, the ZenFone 4 Max also has a higher camera resolution on its front camera. To check which image quality is better, you can check out our reviews for both smartphones that have been linked above.
Moreover, both of these smartphones’ battery life have slight difference since the Redmi Note 4X has 4100mAh while the Zenfone 4 Max has 5000mAh. On this department, the Zenfone 4 Max wins.
Both smartphones are power efficient with their Snapdragon chipsets, however, in terms of overall performance, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X wins. But in terms of battery life performance, ASUS Zenfone 4 Max wins. One disadvantage of the Redmi Note 4X is that Xiaomi has yet to open their physical stores in the country that can provide warranties for their smartphones.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X is priced at Php7,199 (see price listing here) while the ASUS Zenfone 4 Max is priced at Php9,990 (see price listing here)
